Work With Croft Advisors
Croft staff serve as academic advisors for International Studies majors, which means students work with people who understand the Institute, the degree requirements, and the opportunities that shape a Croft education.
Advising is required before registration each semester, but it is more than a step in the registration process. It is a chance to talk through your progress, plan your next courses, ask questions, and make sure your academic choices support the path you are building through Croft.

Croft advising is not only about choosing classes. Advisors can help students think about how language study, regional concentration, thematic track, study abroad, internships, fellowships, senior thesis, and future goals can fit together.
Students can also come to advising with broader questions about Croft, the university, career interests, graduate school plans, or where to find help. When possible, Croft advisors can connect students with alumni, visiting professionals, faculty, campus resources, or other people who can offer useful perspective.

Before advising, students should review their academic progress, think through a tentative schedule, and come ready to talk about what they need next. Your advisor can help you consider course timing, language study, regional concentration, thematic track, study abroad planning, senior thesis preparation, and progress toward graduation.
